Faith 1939 World's Fair Edition of American Voices, page 141

If I can take the bitter with the sweet
As I each day life's little problems meet;
If I can keep sweet hope within my breast,
If I, alone, can stand the crucial test
Of keeping courage fine in the face of woe;
If I can love my enemy, my foe,
Then I have kept a faith that's truly fine,
A faith in God whose wisdom's sure, divine.
